Three persons have been arrested for allegedly hiring the group of juveniles who carried out an assassination bid at Karkardooma court in east Delhi that left a police constable dead and the undertrial target injured.
The accused have been identified as Shahrukh (22), Shiv Shankti Nair alias Bhola Naidu (35) and Abdul Naseer (28).
Their names emerged during the questioning of the four juveniles who were apprehended after the incident on December 23 in which a police constable died and the gang's target -- an undertrial identified as Irfan -- sustained several bullet injuries, said DCP (East) BS Gurjar.

Inquiries revealed that Abdul Naseer, who was in jail, had an old enmity with Irfan and had planned to kill him with the help of his associates.
Naseer roped in Shahrukh, another inmate, who in turn delegated the work to his cousin. This cousin, a juvenile, had earlier been apprehended along with Shahrukh after a brutal daylight murder in southeast Delhi's Madangir area but was later released, said police.
Shahrukh's cousin further roped in the other juveniles, who were promised hefty sums upon the successful execution of the assassination plan.
After the latest arrests, Naseer disclosed other names -- Asim alias Salman, Ajim alias Bunty and Jamaluddin alias Ranjha -- who were also involved in the act as they too wanted to settle scores with Irfan.
Efforts are on to nab them, added police.
While Asim was the one who supplied the weapon used in the crime to the juveniles through Ranjha, Bunty conducted a recce of the court premises and dropped the juveniles there on the day the incident took place, alleged police.
The constable, Ram Kanwar Meena, who died in the incident, was posted with Delhi Police's third battalion, which is entrusted with the transportation of prison inmates between jails and courts.
