Three persons, including a juvenile, have been held for allegedly kidnapping a six-year-old boy from his residence with intention to sexually assault him, police said today.

While Dharmendra (30) and Ravinder (22) were arrested in the case, a 16-year-old accused has been apprehended as he is a juvenile.

The trio, who are neighbours of the boy, had kidnapped him from his house last night when he was sleeping with his mother in Begumpur area of Outer Delhi.

The incident came to light when the woman found her son missing around 2.30 am. After initial search within the house premises failed to yield results, the family then informed the police.

"A police team soon reached the spot and launched a search operation and recovered the boy from a secluded place, which was close to his house and where the accused had taken him," a senior police official said.

The accused had injured the boy with a blade on his neck. But before they could sexually assault him, police reached the spot and rescued him. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was given medical aid, the official said.

The juvenile has been sent to Juvenile Justice Home while the two others have been sent to judicial custody by a district court.
