3 held for NRI's murder

Three persons, including a

juvenile who allegedly killed a 70-year-old NRI in a bid to retrieve a pornographic CD of a woman known to them, have been apprehended, police said today.

Daljeet Singh alias Gauri (48), Praveen Yadav (23) and a minor were nabbed for allegedly killing NRI Harinder Jit Singh on November 15 at Shivaji Enclave area in West Delhi here.

According to the police, the deceased, whose family is based in Ontario, Canada, had a video camera installed in his apartment and made pornographic videos of women who visited him.

"One of his victims, who was also in a relationship with Gauri, told him that the NRI has made an objectionable video of her which she wanted to be retrieved and destroyed as he was exploiting her using the clip," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) Ranvir Singh.
 

In a bid to fetch the video clip, Gauri sought the help from Pravin and his minor accomplice promising them Rs 10,000 each.

The trio had on November 15 went to Singh's house and overpowered him. They then tied him up with a 'chunni' in the bathroom, gagged him with a piece of cloth and ransacked the house.
