An 18-year-old married girl was allegedly raped by three persons in the district after one of them took a picture of her in the nude and threatened to post the photos in social networking sites.
All three were arrested here today, police said.
They said one Manikandan had taken a photograph of the girl on his cellphone when she was taking a bath in a doorless stand alone bathroom at Vadkakkipalayam village. He had later shown her the pictures and asked her for sexual favours.
He had gone to her house around midnight of February 15 and despite her protests that her husband was in the house, gagged her and carried her to a secluded place, where he and his two friends allegedly raped her.
The girl later informed her husband of the incident and he lodged a complaint following which the trio were arrested and remanded to custody, police said.
