3 held, heroin worth Rs 8 crore recovered

Three men were arrested andmore than 2 kgs of heroin worth Rs 8 crore in the international market recovered by Delhi Police which today claimed to have busted an inter-state drug syndicate.

Bal Kishan alias Sunny (19), Devender Kumar alias Situ (23), both residents of Sultan Puri, Delhi, and one Shoaib (22), a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, were arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi on Wednesday.

"We have recovered 2.250 Kgs of heroin which is worth more than Rs 8 crore. Seven mobile phones and a car used in drug trafficking has also been seized from them," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav.
 

The Special Cell had on Wednesday received information that the kingpin of this syndicate had sent his carrier Shoaib Hussain to deliver a big consignment of heroin to one Devender alias Situ and Bal Kishan alias Sunny in Jafrabad.

Accordingly, a trap was laid near Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Jafrabad, where three persons were spotted. When they exchanged the contrabands, they were apprehended. 1 Kg heroin was recovered from Bal Kishan alias Sunny while 500 grams was recovered from the possession of Shoaib Hussain, he said.

One Ecco Car used in transportation of the heroin has also been seized. Seven mobile were also recovered from the possession of accused persons, police said.
