Three Himalayan Griffon vultures were rescued in Dhemaji district of Assam and are being treated at a stabilisation centre.
According to an official of the NGO Wildlife Trust of India, the birds were rescued by them with the help of locals in Dhemaji.
"The three vultures are undergoing treatment at a stabilisation centre at Biswanath Chariali in Sonitpur district," he said.
After treatment, the vultures will be released in Kaziranga National Park, he added.
