3 hurt as train hits van

Three persons were seriously

injured when a train hit a pick-up van at an unmanned crossing at Ipra on Muzaffarpur-Narkatiyaganj section in Bihar's East Champaran district today, police said.

The four-wheeler was negotiating the track at the crossing falling under Chakiya police station area when the Muzaffarpur-Narkatiyaganj Express rammed into it from a side, GRP officer-in charge, Imran Alam said.

The injured were identified as Santosh Paswan (26), Brijkishore Sahni(35) and Arun Kumar (29), all residents of East Champaran district.

The injured have been send to Muzaffarpur railway hospital.
