3 hurt in mishap involving union minister's convoy vehicle

Three persons riding a two-wheeler were injured in an accident involving a car in the cavalcade of Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde on the city outskirts today, police said.

The minister of state for skill development and entrepreneurship was on way to the Kempegowda International Airport when the driver of one of the cars following his vehicle applied sudden brake at Savakanahalli Gate.

As a result, a motor-cycle coming from behind rammed against the car injuring its rider and two pillion riders, police said.

The three, who suffered minor injuries, were treated as outpatients at a nearby hospital and sent home, police added.
