Delhi Police has arrested three persons for their alleged involvement in a betting syndicate which operated during the Australia v/s New Zealand World Cup final cricket match.
Police had got a tip-off that betting activities were being run from a house near Old Subzi Mandi following which a raid was conducted.
"During the raid, three persons identified as Amit Sharma (32), Gaurav (30) and Mohit (32) were apprehended from the said building. Nine mobile phones, one LCD TV, one laptop and other things were recovered from the spot," DCP (North) Madhur Verma said today.

One mobile phone was being used as "dabba" (Voice Hot Line Box) for receiving the rates while other mobile phones were being used for accepting bets. The match summary report of total betting till the time of the raid was approximately Rs 75 lakh, he added.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on, police said.
