3 juveniles apprehended over boy's death

Three juveniles have been apprehended for allegedly killing a 16-year-old boy in southwest Delhi's Chhawla area over a financial dispute, police said today.

According to the police, Mandeep was taken to a drain by the three suspects, including his cousin, yesterday on the pretext of having a friendly chat. He was then attacked by the juveniles with a compass after he failed to return Rs 3,000.

Mandeep was rushed to the hospital but was declared brought dead, they said.

The children were allegedly involved in betting, police said, adding that they will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board tomorrow.
 

The family of the juveniles have been informed about the incident, they said.

The matter is being probed, police added.
