Three children today received burn injuries and eight houses were reduced to ashes in a fire at a government colony here, police said.
"Fire broke out probably after blasts in LPG cylinders in the government colony in which three children received burn injuries," an official said, adding the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital.
By the time fire tenders were able to douse the flames, eight houses were gutted in the fire, he said.
Meanwhile, District magistrate O N Singh said that cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained and an enquiry has been ordered in this regard.
