Three persons were killed and one injured when a jeep they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge at Kushla village near Sundernagar in the district, police said today.
The incident took place last evening when driver of the pick-up jeep, travelling to Jaidevi from Derdhar area, lost control of the vehicle which plunged in the 400-metre deep gorge, Mandi SP Kumar Thakur said.
Three persons died on the spot while the driver was injured, he said.

The deceased were identified as Roshan, Chet Ram and Chaman Lal, he added.
A case has been registered against the driver under IPC sections 279 (driving on a public way rashly or negligently to endanger human life) and 304 A (causing death by rash or negligent act) and an investigation is on, Shukla said.
