3 killed, 11 injured in separate accidents

Three persons were killed and 11 others injured in two separate accidents on the Jammu and Kashmir highway, police said today.

Three motorcycle-borne persons, including a minor, were killed when the vehicle collided with a bus coming from opposite direction on Jammu-Pathankote highway at Sunderchak area late last night, police said.

The deceased have been identified as 23-year-old Tinku, 23-year-old Sunny and 13-year-old Sanjay, all belonging to Nagri Parole village of Kathua district.

The bodies have been handed over to family for last rites.

In another incident, a matador carrying people from Srinagar to Jammu, skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge on Jammu-Srinagar National highway at Banihal belt of Ramban district this morning, police said.
 

11 persons have been injured in the mishap, police said adding that injured have been hospitalised.
