Three persons were killed and two others injured when an SUV they were travelling in dashed into a tractor near Damkhora trisection here due to fog.
The victims were on their way to a marriage function in Baheri township last night when the SUV collided with a sugarcane-laden tractor trolley because of poor visibility due to fog, police said.
While Surendra Kumar (34) died on the spot, Ranjit (32) and Arjit (35) succumbed to their injuries in hospital, a police official said, adding, the injured were admitted to a nearby community health centre.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, he added.
