: Three persons, including two women were killed on the spot and five others seriously injured when the van in which they were travelling collided with a brick laden lorry near Perundurai today.
Police said the mishap occurred when the driver tried to overtake the lorry and dashed against it.
The van driver's wife and a 70-year-old woman were among those killed, they said, adding two minor children were among the seriously injured.
The van was carrying eight persons.
