3 killed, 7 injured in group clash, firing

Three people were killed and seven injured in a clash that broke out between two groups due to an old rivalry in Bhilgawan village here Thursday, police said.

The incident occurred under Sadar police station area in the morning where members of two groups clashed after heated arguments, Superintendent of Police Dholpur Dusht Daman Singh said.

In the exchange of fire, three people were killed and seven injured, the SP said.

The families of Ram Ratan Kushwah and Amar Singh Kushwah had a past rivalry owing to some issues and they were fighting court cases against each other.

Additional police force has been deployed in the village to avert any untoward incident, the officer said.

 

The deceased were identified as Vikram Singh (32), Deepu (22) and Pati Ram Kushwah (40). The injured were referred to Dholpur for treatment.

A case was registered in the matter and further investigation is on in the matter, the police said.
