Three persons were killed and two others injured when a roadways bus hit a car in Uttar Pradesh's Banda district on Thursday, police said.
The accident occurred on Banda-Allahabad highway near Mahua village in Girwa area, they said.
The bus, going from Banda to Karvi in Chitrakoot, hit a car coming from the opposite direction, killing three on the spot, Circle Officer Kuldeep Kumar Gupta said.
He said the injured were rushed to a hospital where their condition was stable.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem but the deceased has not been identified yet, Gupta said.
