Three people were killed today morning and 11 others were seriously injured as Pune-Secundarabad 'Duronto' train ran into a tractor-trolley near the city.
Railway's Pune Division PRO, Yogendra Singh, said, "The incident happened at railway gate no 10 between Yavat and Urli around 7.30 AM."
"Three people are killed and 11 others were injured seriously. Railway has announced aid of Rs 50,000 for relatives of the dead and Rs 25,000 for the injured. We have instituted a high-level inquiry into the mishap" he said.
The victims were yet to be identified.
