3 killed as underconstruction building collapses in Raj

Three persons were killed today and as many injured when a three-storey underconstruction building collapsed in Jayanti Nagar near Goverdhan gate here, police said.

Two of the three deceased were identified as the building owner, Dharmendra Upadhyay, and a labourer, Naval Singh. The identity of the third victim could not be established, they said.

Army was called in for the rescue operation, they said.

Three injured labourers are undergoing treatment at the district hospital, where their condition is stated to be critical.

The rescue work is on, they added.
