At least three people were killed and several others injured today in two separate blasts in Pakistan's largest city Karachi.
Three suspected terrorists were killed when a bomb they were making accidentally exploded in a building in the congested Patel Para area, police said.
Bomb disposal officials said explosion was the result of between five to six kilogrammes of explosive material.

One of the injured has been taken into custody for further interrogation, police said.
In another blast, Municipal Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan was targeted by a remote controlled bomb near the busy Hasan Square area, police said.
"Apparently the bomb was planted in a motorcycle, eight people have been injured, condition of some of them is critical," senior police official Nasir Lodhi was quoted as saying by Dawn newspaper.
Khan was the target "but motives and causes of the attack yet to be investigated," he said.
