3 killed in road accidents in Himachal Pradesh

Three persons, including a six-year-old boy, were killed in three separate road accidents in Himachal Pradesh today.

A man died on the spot as his scooty fell in to a 300-foot deep gorge in Kullu district this morning.

Aman, a resident of Shamshi near Kullu, was on his way to Bhuntar when the mishap occurred near Diyar on Bhuntar-Diyar road, police said.

In another accident, Sanjeev Kumar (29) was killed on the spot when his motorcycle was hit by a tipper near Sataun in Shillai area of Sirmaur district, about 210 km from here this afternoon.

Sanjeev's marriage was fixed for May 8 and he was going to Paonta Sahib and Nahan for shopping, family sources said. Police have registered a case.
 

A six-year-old boy was crushed to death by a car at Jalgran village in Una district. The boy was rushed to the hospital but the doctors declared him "brought dead".

The boy, identified as Sudhir of Mohammadpur village in Bihar, was returning from a 'bhandara' (community lunch), along with his sister, when the accident took place.
