3 killed in separate road accidents in Amethi

Three people, including a woman, were killed today in three separate road accidents in Amethi district, police said.

Station house officer Gauriganj said Swami Nath Saroj (28) was killed when an unidentified vehicle hit him near Barantikar on Gauriganj-Raebareli road.

He was admitted to a hospital but collapsed during treatment, he said.

In the second incident, Mohammad Akram (22) was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit him near Jafar ganj under Jagdishpur police station on Sultanpur-Lucknow national highway.

Station house officer Jagdishpur said Akram was taken to a community health centre but succumbed to his injuries.

In another incident, Shivkesh Kumari (40) was killed when a motorcycle she was travelling on with her husband was hit by some unidentified people near Salapur village on Jamo road, the police said.
 

The duo were taken to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared her brought dead, they said.
