3 killed in van-jeep collision in Raj

Three persons were killed and as many injured today when the Maruti van they were travelling in collided head-on with a jeep, in Dausa district of Rajasthan.

The accident occurred in Dungarpur village where the pick-up jeep loaded with vegetables collided head-on with the van, which was on its way to Swai Madhopur, leaving the passengers in it critically injured.

The deceased have been identified as Umrao Gurjar (50), Ram Pratap (58) and Rai Singh (28), all hailing from Jalore.

"All of them died while undergoing treatment," said SHO, Ramgarh Pachawara police station, Rajpal Singh.

"Among the three injured, one is in critical condition and has been referred to Jaipur while the other two are undergoing treatment at a hospital in Dausa," said Singh.
 

"The bodies have been sent for post-mortem," he said.
