Punjab police have arrested three members of banned terror organisation Lashkar-e-Jhangvi for their alleged involvement in the killing of a former Pakistani army officer belonging to the minority Shia sect.
The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mian Shafqat told reporters that six months ago, New Lahore City housing project general manager Captain Ahmed Raza was killed by his guard Nasrullah and his accomplices in Lahore.
He said that during the investigation it was revealed that Nasrullah of Okara district of Punjab province, was a member of the banned outfit (LeJ) and was a proclaimed offender involved in other cases as well.

Nasrullah had been working with two LeJ operatives Munny Khan and Shabbira, who carried Rs 1 million and Rs 0.5 million head money, respectively.
The suspects were also close aides of Malik Ishaq, chief of LeJ, who was killed in a police encounter along with his two sons and nine main activists in July this year.
After killing retired Capt Raza the suspects fled to Afghanistan and after some time returned to the border tribal areas.
He said a special police team was constituted to nab the killers and on a tip off it conducted a raid in tribal area and arrested Nasrullah, Munny and Shabbira.
During interrogation Nasrullah told police that he had killed Raza for his faith.
"I had joined the LeJ sometime ago. My LeJ friends and I planned to kill Capt Raza...," he said.
An FIR has been registered against Nasrullah and his accomplices under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA).
