A couple and their minor daughter died allegedly after consuming poison in southeast Delhi's Govindpuri over some family dispute, police said today.
The deceased were identified as Vicky (35), Lalita, and their six-year-old daughter.
It was stated by family members of the deceased that the couple and their daughter took some poison, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South East) Chinmoy Biswal said, adding that a family dispute was the reason behind taking this extreme step.
The incident happened on March 24. Vicky and his wife Lalita were taken to ESI hospital where they were declared brought dead. Their daughter was taken to AIIMS Trauma centre by her uncle where she also died under going a treatment, the police said.
On inquiry it was found that Vicky lived on first floor of the house which was owned by his father and Vicky wanted his father to give him the first and second floor of the house.
His father had refused Vicky's demand. Being unhappy with the decision and the constant quarrels and bickering, Vicky committed suicide by consuming poison. He administered poison to his wife Lalita and daughter Ranchi, the police said.

Vicky's father told the police that his son had threatened that he would commit suicide by consuming poison and giving poison to his family a year ago.
His father had given a written complaint to senior citizen cell in police headquarter on January 2, 2017 but the matter was sorted out by counselling.
Vicky was a shopkeeper in C Lal Chowk. The couple also have a son aged three who was at a neighbour's house when the incident took place, the police said.
