Three persons were arrested with 980 kg 'Doda Post' (opium produce) in Rajasthan's Barmer district, police said Wednesday.
The accused were transporting the narcotic substance by concealing it behind flour sacks in a truck. The truck and a luxury car escorting it were seized, they said.
Acting on a tip-off, a truck going to Jodhpur was intercepted at a check post on Tuesday night and 980 kg Doda Post was recovered from the truck, Barmer SP Manish Agarwal said.
Truck driver Shiv Ram and two others Hanuman Ram and Bhoma Ram driving the luxury car were arrested.
The accused were booked under sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and further investigation is underway, the police said.
