3 missing girls rescued, kidnappers arrested

With the rescue of three girls missing from the state, police today claimed to have solved as many cases of kidnapping.

"A minor girl, who was kidnapped from Indira colony, Samba on February 10, was rescued from Uttar Pradesh. The accused kidnapper, identified as Ankur Kumar Yadav, was arrested," a police spokesman said.

In another case, a girl missing from Samba was found from Satwari in Jammu, and the accused kidnapper, identified as Sanjay Kumar, was arrested.

"The third girl, who was missing from Pahalgam in Kashmir, was rescued from Bari Brahmana and the accused kidnapper, identified as Farooq Ahmed, a resident of Pahalgam, was arrested," he added.
 

"All the three girls have been handed over to their respective families after performing mandatory medical examinations," he said.
