Three NDFB(S) militants were apprehended today while extorting money from a trader in Assam's Chirang district, police said.
The militants had earlier served an extortion notice on the trader in Dhirengaon area under Haligaon police station and had come to collect the money today.
The police apprehended the trio and seized some extortion notes from them.
