3 Nigerians deported

Three Nigerians, who had overstayed in India, were today deported to their homeland following the Tamil Nadu government orders, officials said.

Oladato Obasoto alias Richard, Dickson M Dickson and Abiodun Oluwagbemiga alias Jerry, all in their late twenties were brought here from the Special Camp for Refugees at Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai District.

They boarded an early morning flight to Lagos via Dubai. Police personnel and district revenue officials accompanied them to the airport, they said.

They had overstayed in India, in violation of visa regulations and the state government had ordered their deportation yesterday, they said.

They were also allegedly involved in crimes and had created nuisance in the textile town of Tirupur.
