Pakistani intelligence agencies have foiled terror attacks in Lahore and arrested three alleged members of the Taliban and al-Qaeda, an official said today.
"In a joint operation with the intelligence agencies, we raided a house yesterday in one of the Lahore's populated residential areas and arrested three members of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and al-Qaeda (Lahore chapter)" said an official of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Lahore.
They have been identified as Yasir, Mahboob Hussain and Khurram Shahzad.

"Explosive material and hand grenades have been recovered from them," the official said, adding intelligence agencies intercepted the communication of the suspects and traced their whereabouts and foiled terror attacks in the city.
The suspects have been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.
