Three persons were arrested today on charges of bovine smuggling from Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, the police said.
They were arrested during a vehicle checking drive at the Tapyal Naka. The police also rescued a five bovines, they said, adding that a case has been registered against them at the Ghagwal police station.
The driver of their vehicle, however, managed to escape and a man hunt has been launched to nab him, a police officer said.
