Three policemen and a teenage boy were killed today when unknown gunmen opened fire at them in Pakistan's troubled northwestern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province.

The incident occurred near Qazi Pull area of Hangu district, when militants raided a police check post.

Local police official Khanullah Khan said that three policemen and a 15-year boy were killed in the attack. The militants, who were in a car, escaped after the attack.

Nobody took responsibility of the attack but the Taliban militants are active in the area and often target the security forces and civilians who oppose them.
