Three persons including a
teen-aged girl were injured after unidentified gunmen fired at them at a restaurant in Khurai Angom Leikai in Imphal East district, police said.
The condition of the restaurant owner who is among the injured is stated to be critical.
The gunmen first fired at the girl, a youth, and then the owner, a woman identified as 41-year-old L Romita.
All the three were hospitalised.
The incident comes after a warning was given by a militant outfit that it will start taking action against some restaurants.
