3 shot, woman stripped, beaten up in TMC feud

Three men were shot at, a woman was stripped before being beaten up and another woman was assaulted because of a suspected feud within the Trinamool Congress in South 24-Parganas district today.

District Superintendent of Police Praveen Tripathi said the incident occurred at Satulia village under Kasipur police station.

Three men were shot at and injured and two women were assaulted with one of them being stripped by the attackers.

The woman who was stripped is the wife of a local Trinamool Congress leader who is currently in jail for rowdyism, according to the SP.

All the victims are attached to Trinamool MLA from Bhangar Arabul Islam.
 

Islam met the SP after the incident.

All the victims were hospitalised and none was arrested yet, Tripathi said.
