When victims said that they have not taken the cash, the seniors allegedly asked them to swear by holding the burning camphor in their hands.
The victims who suffered burns were treated in the local primary health centre and school authorities allegedly attempted to suppress the incident.
However, parents of the injured girls took up the matter with officials following which it came to the knowledge of district administration a couple of days ago.
The DRO said action would be taken against the school headmaster who was holding additional charge of the hostel in the absence of a warden.
