3 teachers found absent from Rajouri mobile school suspended

Three teachers of a mobile primary school, meant for children of nomads, in Rajouri district were suspended after they were found absent from duty.

Abdul Hamid, Ayaz Rather, and Rubina Shaheen of a mobile primary school at Ghreen Khud Pathri Behrote were suspended yesterday after Rajouri Chief Education Officer Altaf Hussain found them absent during a surprise inspection, an official spokesman said today.

He said not a single student was found when the CEO visited the school.

It was also found in the investigation that the mobile school remained non-functional during the summers as well, he said.
