A three-year-old girl was killed after getting hit by a private chartered bus near the Nehru Place flyover in the evening, police said.
Lakshmi, while playing below the flyover came on the road and was hit by the bus that was going to pick some people at around 6.30 PM, said a senior police officer.
The girl was rushed to hospital but was declared brought dead.
As soon as the accident occurred, a crowd gathered but the bus driver managed to flee from the spot, he added.
Lakshmi's father works as a labourer and they used to stay below the flyover, he said.
