Those awarded include Deputy Inspector General Sudhir Kumar, Inspector General Pramod Phalnikar and Deputy Commandant I S Banyala.
DIG Kumar, who joined the force in 1990 as an officer, is credited with having foiled a Naxal attack on the Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) campus in Jharkhand's Chhatra in March last year.
Heavily-armed Maoists had planned to attack the CCL premises and after the night-long gunbattle the force recovered the bodies of two Naxals while there were no casualities on their side.
Two other officials have also been awarded the fire service medals, which is a "unique" service rendered by the force.
The 1.47-lakh strong force guards the country's airports, vital space and nuclear installations and important government and private infrastructure.
