A 30-year-old woman from East Delhi was raped by two men in Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district after being abducted by a human trafficking gang on the pretext of job, police said today.

The woman was lured by the gang, headed by a female, to Ghaziabad from her residence at the Mandawali area. She was later drugged and taken to Badaun where she was gang-raped, police said.

"The gang leader, along with her husband and brother-in- law, took the victim to Ghaziabad early this month on the pretext of job. At one point she was offered soft drink laced with sedatives, following which she fell unconscious," a police officer said.

On regaining consciousness, the victim found herself lying in an open field and when she attempted to flee, she was gang-raped by the husband and brother-in-law, he added.

The woman managed to escape from their clutches when the gang was busy striking a deal to sell her to a client at Badaun. Later, she reached Delhi with the help of another person.

Subsequently, she approached the Mandawali police station last week, filed a case, after which the accused, including the woman kingpin, were arrested. Two other members of the gang are still at large.
