31 test positive for dengue in Jammu region

Thirty-one people across Jammu region have tested positive for dengue in the last few days, health officials said today.

Out of 216 persons who were examined for the disease, 31 tested positive, they said, adding reports of 55 cases are awaited.

As many as 268 test samples collected from suspected dengue patients, the officials said.

Out of the 31 persons tested positive, 17 are males and 24 females, they said.

Asserting that there was no death due to dengue have been reported so far, officials said necessary measures like fumigation have been taken to prevent the spread of the disease.
