314 villages along IB, LoC affected in Pak firing

As many as 314 villages along the International Border (IB) and the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu region have been affected by the recent spell of firing and shelling by Pakistani troops.

"A total of 314 villages have been affected in border firing along the IB and the LoC from Kathua to Poonch," an official spokesman said.

He said an adequate number of ambulances have been pressed into the service to provide immediate medicare facilities to the injured people.

"Round the clock healthcare services are being ensured in district and sub-district hospitals as well as in Community Health Centers. Besides, medicines and other facilities are being provided in the migrant camps where border residents have taken shelter," he added.
 

At least 18 people, including 12 civilians, have been killed and more than 80 injuried in Pakistani shelling and firing along the IB and the LoC since surgical strikes against terror launch pads by the Indian Army in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
