33,000 fishermen families in J'khand to get pucca housing by

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said all 33,000 fishermen families in the state will get pucca housing by 2018/19.

Besides, they would get accidental insurance scheme worth Rs two lakh for which the government would foot the premium.

Das said this while addressing a state level fisheries festival here, an official release said quoting him.

He said Rs 1.25 lakh would be spent on housing and Rs 12,000 for toilet, besides the government would give 90 per cent grant to those who would engage in hatchery and fifty per cent grant to farmers on feed for fishery production.

Fisheries federation would be set up in two months to help fishermen export and working sheds would be constructed for committees.
 

By 2018, Rs two lakh would be spent per unit at 2,000 places where riverine fish farming would come up.

Making commitment for development of farmers, Das said the state's aim was to end poverty, increasing purchasing power of people in villages as prosperous village condition could ensure state's prosperity, the release said.

Tribal self-help groups would be set up and they would be connected with poultry and eggs from there would be supplied to nearby schools for midday meal.

Stating that investments were being attracted and that textile parks would be constructed, Das said 15,000 people could get employment, the release said adding training would be imparted in six districts.

Das said migration has to be stopped, but asked those people who had to migrate for work, to apply in the district deputy commissioner's office, who could be imparted training and connected with employment.

The Chief Minister asked to lodge complain on 181 on the fleeing 'middlemen' and stringent action would be taken against them.

Das also called upon suggestions from people, if any, for the next year's budget - good ones would be incorporated and such people would be rewarded.
