33 pc reservation for women in Patient Welfare Committee

The Delhi government has decided to provide 33 per cent reservation for women in Patient Welfare Committee.

The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday.

"The Cabinet has decided to provide 33 per cent reservation for women in Patient Welfare Committee, which comes under the Health Department," said a senior government official.

The official further said that at present, the committee consists of RWA representatives and experts.

The government has also removed the condition of RWA representatives being members of the committee.

"Government will soon notify its decision granting 33 per cent reservation for women in the committee," the official said.
