Two person were arrested by Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) today and 34 kg of charas worth Rs 3.4 crore was seized from them in Bihar's East Champaran district.
Acting on a tip off, a SSB team intercepted two smugglers near a canal in Khekharia village near Indo-Nepal border and seized the contraband from them, SSB 13th battalion Assistant Commandant Satish Gupta said.
The duo had concealed the contraband in a container and were walking towards the nearby bus stand when they were caught. They had plans to travel to Patna and from there by train to Kanpur to deliver the charas, he said.
Both of them were later handed over to the police, Gupta said.
