An FIR has been filed against 350 unidentified people for allegedly creating a ruckus in the district court premises here, police said today.
The lawyers had yesterday allegedly pelted stones and manhandled some officials, following which the police lathi-charged them, a police official said. However, bar secretary Viswash Tyagi had alleged that the police dragged out the lawyers from their chambers and lathi-charged them.
The FIR has been lodged under sections 147, 148, 323, 504, 307, 427, 336, 332, 353 of the Indian Penal Code, said Ghaziabad Senior Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Krishna.
On the other hand, advocate Dal Chand Gautam had registered an FIR against four policemen for allegedly thrashing him inside a police station on Wednesday night. The lawyers had staged a sit-in yesterday to protest against the alleged beating of the advocate.
Gautam was detained after an eatery owner alleged that three customers, including Gautam, abused his staff on Wednesday night, claiming that there was a delay in serving food.
