Thirty-six people were injured, some of them serioulsy, when a gas cylinder exploded during a marriage function in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir today.
An LPG cylinder exploded at the wedding ceremony in Sarthal area at around 1330 hours injuring 36, some of them grievously, police said.
The injured were admitted to the district hospital, they said adding two persons, who were critically wounded, were airlifted to Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu, for treatment.
Kishtwar District Development Commissioner Baseer Ahmed Khan announced financial assistance of Rs 2,000 each to the injured.
