For the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, 37 candidates today filed their nomination papers, official sources said here.
"For the second phase of polls, 37 candidates have filed their nominations," UP Chief Electoral officer Umesh Sinha told reporters here.
Prominent among those who filed their nominations included Hazi Yakub Kureishi (BSP) from Moradabad, Nawab Kazim Ali (Cong) and Nepal Singh (BJP) from Rampur, Rakesh Tikait (RLD) from Amroha.

In the second phase of polling on April 17, 11 constituencies will go to polls including Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Amroha, Badaun, Aonla, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur and Kheri.
So far, 66 candidates have filed their nominations for this phase.
