A 37-year-old farmer died of a heart attack at Madkarimpur village in the district with his family members claiming that he was upset about a land acquisition case, police said today.
According to the farmer's family, Mulchand died as he was upset for not receiving a communication in his land acquisition case, sub-divisional magistrate Ramovtar Gupta said.
His family alleged that his land was allegedly acquired by the railways for making a double track of the line but his communication has not been paid, he said.
An inquiry has been ordered into the incident, the official said.
