West Bengal Finance and Industry Minister Amit Mitra today said nearly 38-40 per cent of the investment proposals received in 2015 and 2016 Bengal Global Business Summits have fructified and the rest are under process.
"We had received a total Rs 4.9 lakh crore investment proposals in 2015 and 2016 Bengal Global Business Summits. And out of this nearly 38-40 per cent proposal have already fructified. The rest are under consideration and process," he said.
On the state entering into a joint venture with Gas Authority of India Limited to supply natural gas to every household in greater Kolkata, Mitra said "We have entered into a joint venture through Greater Calcutta Gas Supply Corporation Ltd (GCGSCL), which is a 100 per cent state-owned company. GCGSCL will have an equity of 26 per cent while GAIL will hold 74 per cent stake.

Mitra also said West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (WBIIDC) is focusing on sustainable and eco-friendly industrialization in the four model growth centers developed by WBIIDC.
