At least 39 children were rescued and four alleged traffickers were arrested from a train here after an alert SSB jawan tipped off the authorities.
Officials said the incident was reported yesterday when a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) constable R S Reddy, posted at the forces' unit in Piprakothi in Bihar, saw the suspicious activities of four people who were escorting a large number of children at the railway station here.
"Reddy alerted anti-trafficking authorities as a result of which 39 children who were being allegedly taken for trafficking were rescued from the Falaknuma Express train. Four suspected traffickers were also held," a senior SSB officer said.
